Job summary

RadNet in New Jersey is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound exams and support radiologists with procedures. You will monitor patients and ensure safety and confidentiality in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires completion of an Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma, SPI/ARDMS eligibility, and BLS certification. On-site imaging centers offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate from an ultrasound technologist program.
• SPI exam completion or registry eligibility is preferred.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policy and regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed.
• Understand ultrasound data generation and instrument operation for clinical exams.
• Monitor patient well-being and respond to discomfort or medical issues.

You Will:

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.


• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.


• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.


• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.


• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.


• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.


• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.


• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.

• Applicants must have completed their Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma


• Passed SPI exam


• Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred


• Must have BLS certification
