RadNet in Port Reading, NJ is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join our patient-centered imaging team. You will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, assist radiologists with procedures, monitor patient well-being, and uphold patient privacy and safety in accordance with policy and regulations.

Qualifications

• Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
• SPI exam passed; ARDMS certification preferred or registry eligible.
• Current BLS certification.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain patient safety and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed.
• Understand methods to generate ultrasound data and operate related equipment.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or issues.
• Safeguard patient information and property in compliance with policies.
• Safeguard medications on site per company policies and legal requirements.
• Respect company property and patient financial information on site or portals.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.

You Will:

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.


• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.


• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.


• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.


• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.


• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.


• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.


• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.


• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

• Applicants must have completed their Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma


• Passed SPI exam


• Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred


• Must have BLS certification

Pay Range: $32.00-$44.00 per hour
