Job Summary
We are seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) on a part‑time PRN basis to assist with patient care in the West Florida region.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients and equipment safely and competently.
- Obtain and document a complete patient history related to the procedure, and obtain informed consent according to policy.
- Maintain statistical results for quality improvement.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures, and with radiologists regarding clinical findings, history, and test results.
Qualifications
- Two‑year Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Valid ARDMS registry with RVT, AB, or OB/GYN specialty.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1–3 years of previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer (MEDITECH), and clerical skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
