The role you’ll contribute:

This position contributes to the mission and goals of the department by providing quality Ultrasound exams to patients of all ages, from infancy to geriatrics, and their families, undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in Imaging Services. Essential duties include performing quality Ultrasound studies upon orders of a licensed practitioner, ensuring patient and staff safety, and providing accurate documentation for interpretation by Radiologists.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Performs quality Ultrasound studies upon orders of a licensed practitioner
• Verifies physician order prior to scanning
• Checks with physician, floor RN, Radiologist if clarification of orders is needed
• Always uses two types of patient identifiers (name and date of birth) matched with arm band
• Obtains complete, current history of patient and reason for exam
