Job description

Overview

We are seeking an Ultrasound Technologist,internally referred to as our Ultrasound Technician or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. As our Ultrasound Tech your will assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PRN.

Shift’s Available: varied

Employment Type: per diem/PRN

Hours: 8 hour

Location: Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, KS

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams
• ensures proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation
• positions patient and equipment to produce an appropriate recording
• responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

• ARDMS certification in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire and maintain
• graduate an accredited ultrasound program with current certification or graduation within 90 days of hire
• current BLS (AHA) certificate

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

• current/previous experience
• proficient computer skills
