Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs Ultrasound procedures at a technical level which does not require direct supervision and assumes the responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

What you will do in this role:

• Positions and transports patients as necessary.
• Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.
• Operates equipment as directed.
• Practices sterile techniques when necessary.
• May be required to train technologists in specific areas.
• Cross trains in specific areas of in-service education.
• Maintains own skills and understanding in innovations in techniques and equipment in radiology.
• May be responsible for specific areas of in-service education.
• In the absence of a Supervisor or Lead Technologist, may be designated as acting Supervisor.
• Participates in call system.
• Maintains adequate records as directed.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in department.
• Cooperates with personnel in the proper conduct of the department.
• Rotates within the department by shift as required.
• Maintains ethical relationships with patients and peers.
• Subject to rules and regulations of the Radiology department and CCMC as outlined in the respective procedure manuals.
• Other related duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

• Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
• Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
• Associate Degree.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support.
