Summary

Under minimal supervision, performs basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing healthcare services to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients across all age groups from newborn to elderly. May be multi-credentialed in sonography. Completes required competencies within the designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate's Degree
• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years in Diagnostic Sonography
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Must be registered with ARDMS or ARRT in Sonography
• REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS: Active healthcare provider BLS (ARC or AHA); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
