Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonography professional for a full-time ultrasound role. 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with a pay range of $35.50 to $53.25 per hour.

The position requires ARRT or ARDMS certification and a suitable ultrasound program background. Responsibilities include exam verification, assisting radiologists, maintaining equipment, and contributing to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient.
• Assists Radiologist in performing invasive procedures.
• Evaluates technical quality of exam and develops a superior varied technique for efficiency in the department.
• Supports Patient-CCentered Care Philosophy and treats every staff member as a caregiver meeting patient needs.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to the Assistant Director, Lead Sonographer or Engineer.
• Operates the Radiology computer system including entering and charging exams and supplies.
• Keeps work area neat, fully stocked, and compliant with rules and regulations.
