Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center is seeking a full-time Ultrasound Technologist in Georgia. Strong certification and licensure requirements apply, including ARDMS/ARRT and BLS.

Qualifications

• Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (S).
• One of the registries: Abdomen (AB), or Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient.
• Assists Radiologist in performing invasive procedures.
• Evaluates technical quality of exam and optimizes technique for efficiency.
• Supports Patient-Centered Care by treating patients as individuals with needs.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to supervisor/engineer.
• Operates the Radiology computer system to enter exams and supplies.
• Keeps work area neat and stocked; ensures supplies are available.
• Adheres to department rules and professional conduct.
