Job Description

St. Mary Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a part-time Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. The role involves providing comprehensive ultrasonography services to patients, following departmental policies and standards.

Schedule
  • Every Other Saturday/Sunday, 3 PM - 11:30 PM
Responsibilities
  1. Follow departmental protocols for procedures unless directed otherwise by the Radiologist.
  2. Obtain and document patient history and pertinent information; ensure proper patient identification.
  3. Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
  4. Perform positioning and technique adjustments as needed.
  5. Adhere to infection control standards specific to patient care.
  6. Track patients to create charge reports and reports.
  7. Document procedures in patient charts.
  8. Log patient information accurately.
  9. Ensure safety, health, and morale needs of patients and co-workers are met.
  10. Operate medical imaging equipment safely and properly.
  11. Follow radiation safety procedures for self and others.
  12. Replenish and change supplies as needed.
  13. Conduct routine quality control on equipment.
  14. Report malfunctions or problems according to department standards.
  15. Follow ultrasound procedures for biopsies and interventional procedures.
  16. Perform additional duties as assigned.
  17. Participate in call and holiday rotations.
