Schedule: Part-Time Days

Shift: One 12-hour Day Shift per week

Location: AdventHealth Lenexa City Center, 16950 West 86th Street, Lenexa, KS 66219

The community you’ll be caring for:

Our newest hospital in the Kansas City metro area — AdventHealth Lenexa City Center — will include around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, and inpatient beds for medical-surgical and short-stay units.

The new campus will include:

• 244,000 square feet
• Capacity for 98 beds (44 on opening and 54 future expansion)
• Four operating rooms (two upon opening and two future)

Role Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic medical sonography procedures, providing high-quality exams for interpretation by a Radiologist. Sets up and assists in invasive procedures using ultrasound as a guidance tool. Ensures quality patient care in all tasks performed.

Responsibilities:

• Cooperate with all department staff
• Perform duties as required by the Radiology Director
• Follow hospital policies and standards of behavior
• Incorporate patient, physician, and customer needs into decision-making
• Position and transfer patients for exams
• Assist physicians in invasive procedures, including lab work checks and specimen delivery
• Practice sterile technique to prevent contamination
• Maintain records per policies
• Follow AIDET communication protocol
• Attend at least 50% of department meetings
• Operate Cerner System proficiently, troubleshoot issues
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the Ultrasound Department
• Produce quality ultrasound images using proper techniques
• Restock supplies as needed
• Perform ultrasound procedures per department policies

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree or Technical School Graduate
• Preferred 1+ Years of relevant experience
• Registered as Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Abdominal or OB/GYN (RDMS)
