Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED/IEP Certificate required.
• Certification prerequisites: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI required.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging and positioning techniques based on anatomy and patient care procedures.
• Work as a member of a diagnostic team with ultrasound supervisors, radiologists and/or cardiologists.
• Produce 2D sonographic recordings of internal organs for accurate diagnoses.
• Prepare equipment and follow exam specifications.
• Instruct and assist patients in necessary positions for exams.
• Operate transducer and adjust equipment for optimal imaging.
• Transfer images and record data on digital systems.
• Provide guidance and oversight to sonography students.

Education
