Job summary

Saltu Staffing is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in ambulatory and hospital settings under general supervision. The candidate should work independently, maintain high-quality imaging, and ensure patient safety and documentation standards.

Responsibilities include performing exams, communicating with patients, positioning and adjusting equipment, following safety protocols, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of ultrasound experience.
• RDMS or ARRT certification required; RDMS-AB preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• ARDMS-RVT or substantial vascular experience required.
• Inpatient/hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams according to protocol in a timely manner.
• Explain procedures to patients and families; confirm exam/patient identity and assess tolerance.
• Position patients and adjust equipment to optimize imaging and safety.
• Follow safety, infection-control, and sterile technique for invasive procedures.

Job description

A leading hospital is looking for an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in ambulatory and/or hospital settings under the general supervision of a Radiologist or physician. The ideal candidate has strong technical skill, clear patient communication, and close attention to safety and documentation standards. This role requires the ability to work independently while maintaining consistent quality across a high volume of exams.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner
• Communicate with patients and families to explain procedures, confirm correct exam/patient, and assess tolerance for the exam
• Prepare patients and equipment by positioning, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting exposure factors
• Adhere to safety, infection-control, and radiation protocols, including sterile technique for invasive procedures
• Maintain equipment and work areas to quality and cleanliness standards; coordinate with engineers/physicists on equipment issues
• Screen individuals for department entry per approved safety policies
• Obtain and maintain documentation including requisitions, patient history, pregnancy status, shielding precautions, and consent forms
• Follow imaging workflows across PACS, EMR, image exchange systems, and modality worklists
• Maintain imaging records for timely interpretation per department standards

Requirements:
