Description
This is a technical position performing diagnostic ultrasound exams. Responsibilities include scanning, chart review, maintaining data logs, and image processing. Sonographers may be required to provide oral or written reviews of the exams performed.
Qualifications
Graduate of a School of Radiological Technology with at least six months of formal training in Ultrasound preferred, or graduate of an accredited school of Sonography. Six months of formal training including hands-on clinical applications is required. Candidates must be registered or eligible for registration with ARRT in ultrasonography or with ARDMS in minimum or Physics and ABD/OB areas. BLS certification is also required.
