Job Description:

Prepares patients for procedures, assumes responsibility for patient needs during procedures. Performs procedures with accuracy and thoroughness in a timely manner, adhering to the protocols outlined in the department's procedure manual upon the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist.

Education:

• Completion of Sonography Program Preferred

Experience:

• 3 years Medical Imaging - Sonographer Preferred

Certifications/Licensures:

• BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
• Currently credentialed with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, with a current RDMS license with subspecialty registries in Abdomen and OB/GYN, and current RVT license
• BR Breast Certification - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Required at sites that perform Diagnostic Mammography, if performing diagnostic breast ultrasound - Must be obtained within 90 days of hire
• OB/GYN - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Must be obtained within 90 days of hire
• RVT Registered Vascular Technologist - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Must be obtained within 90 days of hire, with a 14-month deadline for new graduates
• If unable to acquire missing sub-specialty licenses due to extenuating circumstances, a 90-day extension may be granted at the discretion of the Medical Imaging Director

• RVT highly preferred before hire
• 3+ years' experience as a registered sonographer preferred
• Strong weekend availability and ability to help with call as needed
• Ability to work all shifts including nights, days, weekends, and evenings

Work Shift:

08.00 Per Diem No Waive (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$79.65 - $115.42 per hour

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Note: Positions at JMH that are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes. The work shift will include 'exempt' in its description.
