Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for Texas Health Southwest in Fort Worth. The role involves imaging specific anatomy, working with radiology staff, and adhering to department protocols in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The candidate should have an AMA‑approved ultrasound program, ARDMS/ARRT certifications, and BCLS. Prior hospital radiology experience and vascular specialty credentials are preferred. This on‑site position offers full-time hours with weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved/accredited Ultrasound Program (preferred).
• Associate Degree (preferred).
• 2 years clinical experience in hospital radiology setting (preferred).
• BCLS required prior to independent patient care.
• ARRT Sonography certification required or ARDMS with 2 certifications on hire.
• Other RVT or VT(RVS) as one modality if vascular sonography performed (required).

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patient/family prior to and during exam.
• Image correct anatomical area of interest per department protocols.
• Perform complex procedures including age-related criteria and development considerations.
• Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
• Send and transfer images to PACS correctly.
• Print laser images from modality or PACS as needed.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment.
• Prepare examination room with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Monitor patients with IVs or oxygen during imaging.
