Sentara Health is seeking a qualified Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound procedures in an ambulatory setting in Chesapeake, VA. The role requires independent judgment and proficiency in preliminary structural reporting, with responsibilities expanding to Interventional or ED as needed.

Candidates should have a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field, ARRT or ARDMS registration, and meet ICAVL site requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field, or completion of an approved training program.
• Registered ARRT or ARDMS required for ACR-accredited sites on hire.
• ICAVL accredited sites require provisional vascular/General staff and credentialing within two years.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in ambulatory settings.
• Demonstrate independent judgment under physician direction.
• Provide proficiency in preliminary structural reporting.
