Sentara’s Advanced Imaging Center in Chesapeake seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer I to perform diagnostic ultrasound in an ambulatory setting, under physician direction. You’ll provide preliminary structural reports and pursue required credentials within two years of training.

Eligible candidates have a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field, and ARRT/ARDMS certification. ARRT/ARDMS credentials are required for ARRT/ARDMS sites at hire, with eligible supervision and

Performs Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Tech I responsibilities in addition to one of the following: Interventional, DVT, or Hospital Based/Standing EDDegree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, related field, or completion of a training program acceptable to their registry board, ARRT, or ARDMS. Registered ARRT or ARDMS required for ACR accredited sites upon hire.ICAVL accredited sites, Registered ARRT or ARDMS required must be listed in the application as provisional technical staff. The base pay range for full-time employment is $40.80 - $60.63 hourly.
