OhioHealth is seeking an ultrasound technologist to independently perform ultrasound examinations, interpret results, and discuss findings with radiologists. The role includes assisting radiologists with invasive procedures and teaching students in scanning methods and instrumentation.

Minimum qualifications include ARDMS and at least 1–2 years of ultrasound experience, abdominal or OB/GYN certification with physics/instrumentation, and BLS.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification is required.
• Abdominal or OB/GYN certification with physics/instrumentation required.
• 1-2 yrs ultrasound training from an accredited program.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Performs various ultrasound examinations and interprets images.
• Assists Radiologists with invasive procedures.
• Evaluates normal vs. abnormal results in correlation with history and prior results.
• Gives preliminary ultrasound results to attending physicians, surgeons, residents, etc.
• Teaches imaging students, medical students and residents in scanning methods and instrumentation.
• Maintains equipment and stocks supplies; performs quality control and documentation.
• Focuses on safety, quality and efficiency as part of OhioHealth's High Reliability Organization.
