Mobile Ultrasound Technologist (Echocardiogram)

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Mobile Ultrasound Technician to join our team. This role involves traveling within a designated geographic area to perform echocardiograms for patients residing in healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary licensure, certifications, and expertise to conduct examinations independently and with precision. This position requires professionalism, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• PRN, as needed role
• Hourly pay + mileage reimbursement (must have a personal vehicle for use; imaging equipment provided)
• Schedule is flexible based on availability (2-hour minimum when scheduled)
• Echos completed in/around Kansas City Territory and surrounding areas

RESPONSIBILITIES

Patient Care and Ultrasound Examinations

• Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and answer any questions they may have.
• Perform echocardiograms to assess and identify areas of concern.
• Notify appropriate medical staff immediately of any abnormalities requiring urgent attention.

Equipment Maintenance and Reporting

• Operate and maintain imaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Promptly report any equipment malfunctions or issues.
• Upload completed studies into the online PACS system and accurately mark records as complete.

Documentation and Communication

• Prepare clear and concise technical impression reports summarizing findings.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all examination results.

Work Environment and Collaboration

• Manage multiple patients efficiently while adapting to a fast-paced environment.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with team members as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Minimum of 1 year of echocardiogram experience (2–3 years preferred).
• ARDMS certification preferred.
• Comfortable writing a technical impression of each finding.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for prolonged periods while performing patient services.
• Comfortable driving for extended stretches to various patient locations up to 200+ miles per day.
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under high-stress situations.
• Flexibility to adapt to scheduling changes and varying patient needs.
