Job summary

The Staff Pad partners with a healthcare organization in Las Vegas, NM to hire a seasoned Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) for our Radiology team. This full-time, days schedule offers the opportunity to perform diagnostic ultrasound across vascular, obstetrical, abdominal, cardiac, and small parts imaging, while delivering patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited ultrasonography program or demonstrated expertise meeting department standards.
• ARDMS/CCI certification preferred or registry-eligible; certification within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required (within 60 days if not current).
• At least 1 year of hospital-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across multiple modalities.
• Produce high-quality images for diagnostic interpretation.
• Explain procedures to patients and families and ensure comfort.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.
• Transport and position patients safely with proper body mechanics.
• Complete required documentation and study records.
• Assist with training and orienting new staff as needed.
