Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Two-year course in a patient care related allied health field prior to Diagnostic Medical Sonographer education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures within scope of practice and departmental standards.
• Assesses information, prepares and educates patient for procedures.
• Completes documentation of patient care and procedures.
• Maintains proficiency with hospital and departmental information systems and equipment.
• Maintains productivity and adapts to workload to meet patient care needs.
• Adheres to policies and safety protocols specific to modality.
• Participates in departmental meetings and committees.
• Completes required hospital, departmental and professional trainings.
• Contributes to continuous improvement aligned with management goals.
