Job summary

Summit Health in West Orange, NJ is seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our Imaging department. You will provide ultrasound services, ensure high-quality diagnostic images, and collaborate with Radiologists to meet patient care standards.

The role requires ARDMS OB/GYN or AB, BLS, and graduation from an accredited Sonography program, with English proficiency and computer skills for EMR, RIS, and PACS systems. On-site position with travel to satellite locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in ultrasound imaging (outpatient/hospital setting preferred).
• ARDMS certification in OB/GYN or AB is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Graduated from an accredited Sonography program.
• Fluent in English communications, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive care to patients requiring ultrasound services in an organized and systematic manner according to departmental policy and standards.
• Produces quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
• Obtains and documents patient history and pertinent information.
• Communicates with attending Radiologist and verifies providers orders.
• Ensures exam room cleanliness after each procedure and adheres to infection control standards.
