Job summary

Providence Health & Services in California seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform a variety of ultrasound examinations under supervision. You will assist Radiologists and referring physicians and coordinate with scheduling and other departments to ensure imaging procedures are performed efficiently.

The role requires ARDMS certification, an associate degree in Ultrasound Technology, BLS, and strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physics.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent education / experience in Ultrasound Technology.
• Maintain required continuing education hours necessary to renew license/certification.
• Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Experience in cross-sectional anatomy, as well as the principles of physics, related to Ultrasound.

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor Sonography and the Manager Diagnostic Imaging, the Ultrasound Technologist will perform a variety of ultrasound (US) imaging examinations using the proper ultrasound practices. Performs various ultrasound procedures according to accepted department protocols and hospital policies. Performs a variety of ultrasound procedures for patients of any age group for diagnostic purposes according to department, hospital, and regulatory agency standards. Assist Radiologist and referring physicians as needed to perform ultrasound procedures. In addition, the Ultrasound Technologist will work closely with the radiologists, other modalities, inpatient and outpatient ultrasound departments, and will serve as a liaison to scheduling and referring physician offices.

Required Qualifications:

Pay Range: $48.79 - $75.74
