Job description

Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD is hiring for an Ultrasound Technologist.

Schedule:

  • Night Shift - 3 12-hour shifts
  • Wednesday - Friday
  • 6 pm - 6:30 am

Pay Range: $33 - $45 per hour

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform diagnostic sonographic and interventional procedures under the supervision of the Chief Imaging Technologist and with the assistance of a Physician or Senior Sonographer.
  2. Select appropriate equipment and protocols based on the patient's age, development, and the study requested, following established guidelines.
  3. Position patients optimally for imaging according to established protocols.
  4. Obtain complete series of diagnostic images, demonstrating knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy, within the specified time frame.
  5. Accurately measure and record findings using manual or computerized methods as per protocol.
  6. Provide completed studies and preliminary findings to the interpreting physician.
  7. Adhere to aseptic techniques and protocols, including any updates.
  8. Provide ultrasound guidance for basic invasive procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with successful completion of an approved diagnostic sonography curriculum.
  • RDMS certification in AB and OB/GYN required.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • At least one year of ultrasound experience required.
  • Vascular experience is preferred, including liver duplex, extremity venous, and transplant imaging.
