Job description

Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. Through the Women's Centers, clients receive health screenings, diagnostic tests and treatment services at our two convenient locations in Honolulu and Aiea. Kapi‘olani Women’s Centers are the only O‘ahu facilities to be named Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence by the American College of Radiology. The Centers rank among the top five percent in the nation. Other areas of health care at the Women’s Center include: bone health and osteoporosis, menopause, ultrasound, women’s counseling and coaching, aesthetics, massage, acupuncture and various educational classes geared toward healthy living.

As the ARDMS Ultrasound Technologist, you will help to ensure that the Imaging Services at Kapi‘olani Women's Centers provide quality care to our patients and their families by performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations. We are looking for someone with outstanding patient care and technical skills, an appreciation for procedure and protocol and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Formal training in ultrasound. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.

Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year clinical sonography experience.
