Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound studies and provide high-quality images for physician interpretation. You will work with various transducers, adjust machine settings, and document findings while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

This role requires ARDMS/RVT credentials or registry eligibility and prior ultrasound experience. Daytime shifts, Mon-Fri with varied start times, offer collaborative care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have ARDMS and/or RVT registration or registry eligible.
• Previous ultrasound experience preferred.
• Knowledge of human anatomy and sonographic appearance.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates courteous behavior through polite and respectful communications to all customers and consistently demonstrates the hospital's 7 behaviors.
• Obtains and records patient history and clinical data.
• Utilizes appropriate scanning protocols to demonstrate and evaluate necessary anatomy and adjusts technical factors in accordance with age specific needs.
• Selects appropriate transducer, power output and instrument gain for patient size, age, and procedure.
• Interacts with interpreting physician and provides a written or oral summary of technical findings.
• Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits.
• Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct.

Position Summary:

Utilizes high frequency sound waves and other diagnostics techniques to produce images of organs, tissues, or blood flow inside the body that are used by physicians to make a medical diagnosis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilizes appropriate scanning protocols to demonstrate and evaluate necessary anatomy and adjusts technical factors in accordance with age specific needs.
• Selects appropriate transducer , power output and instrument gain for patient size, age, and procedure .
• Knowledgeable in human gross and sectional anatomy and recognize the sonographic appearance of normal and abnormal tissue structures .
• Interacts with interpreting physician and provides a written or oral summary of technical findings .
• Adheres to hospital policies and professional standards .
• Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits .
• Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct .

The expected pay for this position is listed below:

$32.81 - $41.83 The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
