Job summary

RadNet in Santa Monica, CA seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound exams in a fast-paced radiology setting. You will assist radiologists, monitor patient well-being, and ensure patient data privacy while delivering compassionate care.

The role requires completion of an Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma, SPI exam, ARDMS certification or registry eligibility, and BLS certification; comprehensive benefits and employer matching 401(k) are offered.

Qualifications

• Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
• Passed SPI exam.
• Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed.
• Understand ultrasound data generation and operation of instruments.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical problems.
• Safeguard patient privacy and health information; protect company property.

You Will

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

Pay Range: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour
