Job summary

RadNet in Hanford, CA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound exams and assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided procedures. You will ensure patient comfort and safety while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory requirements.

The role requires completion of an Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma, SPI exam, ARDMS certifications or registry eligibility, and BLS certification. This is a full-time on-site position in a fast-paced radiology department.

Qualifications

• Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
• Passed SPI exam.
• Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred.
• Must have BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed.
• Understand methods to generate ultrasound data and operation of the instruments.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or problems.
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications in accordance with policies and legal requirements.
• Demonstrate professional behavior toward patients and coworkers and respect patient boundaries.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

You Will

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• Applicants must have completed their Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma
• Passed SPI exam

• Must have BLS certification

Pay Range: $30.00 - $40.00 Per Hour
