Job summary

RadNet is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist in California to perform high-quality ultrasound exams, assist radiologists with procedures, and uphold patient safety and privacy in a fast-paced imaging environment.

You will monitor patient well-being, maintain equipment and records, and collaborate with the radiology team to ensure accurate, timely results. Requires diploma, SPI, ARDMS or registry-eligible, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Completing Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
• Passed SPI exam.
• Current ARDMS certifications or registry eligible preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures.
• Understand ultrasound data generation and operation of instruments.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to issues.
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications.

You Will

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• Applicants must have completed their Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma
• Passed SPI exam
• Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred
• Must have BLS certification

Pay Range: $25.00 - $42.00 / per hour
