Pride Health is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to independently perform complex ultrasound examinations for adult and pediatric patients in an outpatient setting in Rochester, MN.   • Proficiency with PACS and EHR systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Shift is 8 hour day shifts | 8 AM - 5 PM| 40 hours/week.
  • Location is Rochester, MN 55905.

  • Review imaging orders, patient history, and clinical information to ensure appropriate examinations.
  • Assist Radiologists and physicians with lesion localization, probe placement, and image-guided procedures.
  • Prepare, administer, and document contrast-enhanced ultrasound procedures when indicated.
  • Communicate preliminary findings and relevant observations to Radiologists and Residents.
  • Accurately acquire, process, document, and store images using PACS and EHR systems.

Job description

Seeking an experienced Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to independently perform complex ultrasound examinations for adult and pediatric patients in an outpatient setting. The technologist will perform advanced imaging procedures, assist physicians with specialized procedures, communicate preliminary findings, and work across multiple ultrasound subspecialties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently perform complex diagnostic ultrasound examinations for adult and pediatric patients.
  • Perform abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, vascular, and pediatric ultrasound examinations.
  • Perform advanced procedures including Shear Wave Elastography (SWE), Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS), 3D imaging, and CT/PET/MRI fusion.
  • Perform or assist with Non-Imaging Vascular (NIV), MSK, IBD, prostate, and specialized ultrasound studies.
  • Review imaging orders, patient history, and clinical information to ensure appropriate examinations.
  • Assist Radiologists and physicians with lesion localization, probe placement, and image-guided procedures.
  • Prepare, administer, and document contrast-enhanced ultrasound procedures when indicated.
  • Communicate preliminary findings and relevant observations to Radiologists and Residents.
  • Accurately acquire, process, document, and store images using PACS and EHR systems.
  • Reprocess transducers using appropriate High-Level Disinfectant procedures.
  • Follow HIPAA, Joint Commission, MRI/radiation safety, infection control, and safe patient-handling standards.
  • Assist with training and orientation of sonography trainees.
  • Participate in ACR and IAC accreditation activities and professional development initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals while maintaining independent judgment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an Ultrasound/Sonography setting required.
  • Associate's degree in a related field required.
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program.
  • ARDMS registration or registry eligibility in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular Technology (RVT).
  • ARDMS, RVT, and BLS/CPR required prior to start.
  • Strong experience in Abdominal, OB/GYN, Small Parts, Vascular, and Pediatric Ultrasound.
  • Knowledge of Non-Imaging Vascular (NIV), Musculoskeletal (MSK), and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) studies required.
  • Proficiency with PACS and EHR systems.
  • Strong critical-thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with patients, physicians, Radiologists, Residents, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to accurately communicate preliminary findings to Radiologists and Residents.
  • Ability to stand, walk, push equipment, and assist with patient handling for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow isolation precautions and properly use PPE.
  • Shift is 8 hour day shifts | 8 AM - 5 PM| 40 hours/week

  • Pay Rate for Locals: $50 - $53 Hourly
  • Pay Rate for Travelers: $2,700 - $2,750 Weekly
