Job description

Under the general supervision of the Ultrasound Supervisor and the guidance of the Lead Technologist, the US Technologist will perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound procedures as requested. The technologist will also perform any job-related functions (clerical, transportation, training, and cleaning) as needed to provide optimal patient care while maintaining hospital values.

Required qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: INPATIENT & OUTPATIENT ULTRASOUND: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited diagnostic medical sonography program or equivalent education/experience.
• INPATIENT & OUTPATIENT ULTRASOUND: Graduate of a diagnostic medical sonography or ultrasound program, and 5 years experience in a high-volume acute care setting.
• National Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 6 months of MATERNAL FETAL TESTING: Acute 2nd and 3rd trimester OB experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited ultrasound program.
• RDMS certified in both Abdomen and OB-GYN upon hire.
• 2 years of experience performing diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound procedures in a high-volume acute-care setting.
