Job summary

RadNet in Oceanside, CA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound exams and support radiologists during procedures, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

You will follow department policies, safeguard patient data, and interact professionally with patients and staff in a fast-paced clinical setting. Requirements include a diploma, SPI exam, ARDMS certification or registry eligibility, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Ultrasound Technology.
• SPI exam passed.
• ARDMS certification or registry eligible preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and operate related instruments.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and address discomfort or issues.
• Safeguard patient information and medications according to policies and law.

You Will:

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:

• Applicants must have completed their Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma
• Passed SPI exam
• Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred
• Must have BLS certification

Pay Range: $26.00 - $40.00 per hour
