RadNet is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound exams and support radiologists with biopsies when needed. You will understand ultrasound data generation and instrument operation while safeguarding patient information and maintaining professional conduct.

Excellent patient care and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced clinical setting. Applicants should have completed an ultrasound technologist program with a diploma, passed the SPI exam, and hold ARDMS

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Ultrasound Technologist program with a diploma.
• SPI exam completion is required.
• Current ARDMS certifications or registry eligibility preferred.
• BLS certification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed.
• Understand ultrasound data generation, instrument theory, and data storage.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical issues.
• Safeguard patient information and company property including medications and financial data.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers and respect boundaries.

You Will:

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

• Applicants must have completed their Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma
• Passed SPI exam
• Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred
• Must have BLS certification

Pay Range: $24.00 - $36.00 / Per Hour
