Job summary

RadNet delivers ultrasound services with a strong focus on patient care. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform high-quality ultrasound procedures, assist radiologists with biopsies, and monitor patient wellbeing during exams while safeguarding PHI and medications.

Applicants must have completed an Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma, passed the SPI exam, have ARDMS credentials or be registry-eligible, and hold BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
  • Passed SPI exam.
  • Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred.
  • BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed.
  • Understand methods to generate ultrasound data and operation of ultrasound equipment.
  • Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical issues.
  • Safeguard patient property and Health Information; manage on-site medications per policy.
  • Demonstrate professional behavior toward patients and coworkers and respect patient boundaries.

Responsibilities
  • Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
  • Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
  • Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
  • Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:
  • Applicants must have completed their Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma
  • Passed SPI exam
