Job summary

RadNet is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join a dedicated team delivering high-quality imaging services across our centers. You will perform ultrasound procedures in line with department policies and assist radiologists with biopsies when needed.

Applicants must complete an Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma, pass SPI, hold ARDMS certification (Registry Eligible if applicable), and maintain BLS.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
  • Passed SPI exam.
  • Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred.
  • Must have BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in compliance with department policies and regulations.
  • Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed.
  • Understand ultrasound data generation and operation of equipment.
  • Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to issues appropriately.
  • Safeguard patient information and on-site medications according to policy.
  • Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities in all interactions.
  • Interact diplomatically with patients, families and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

You Will
  • Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
  • Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
  • Monitor patient’s well‑being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
  • Demonstrate competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguard any onsite medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or in patient portals.
  • Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have
  • Applicants must have completed their Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
  • Passed SPI exam.
