Job summary

RadNet in New York is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist. You will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, assist with biopsies, and ensure patient safety and data integrity in a fast-paced radiology setting.

Candidates should have a diploma in ultrasound technology, SPI exam completion, ARDMS certification or eligibility, and a BLS certification. This role offers a competitive hourly pay range and extensive benefits across imaging centers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures per department policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and operate the equipment.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical problems.
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications in accordance with policies.

You Will:

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

• Passed SPI exam
