Job summary

RadNet in New York is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join a dedicated imaging team delivering high-quality patient care. The role involves performing ultrasound procedures, assisting radiologists, and ensuring patient safety and HIPAA-compliant handling of PHI.

You will work in a fast-paced clinical environment with opportunities for professional growth. Required: diploma in Ultrasound Technologist program, SPI exam, ARDMS certification or registry eligibility, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
• Passed SPI exam.
• Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical issues.
• Safeguard patient information and property; ensure HIPAA compliance and data security.
• Interact professionally with patients and staff to maintain a respectful clinical environment.

You Will

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

Pay Range: $38.00 - $60.00 per hour
