Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist at Dallas Regional Medical Center on a per diem basis. The role involves performing ultrasound exams, properly positioning patients and equipment, and ensuring quality recordings for interpretation.

Responsibilities include processing and transmitting images to PACS, maintaining RDMS/ARRT certification within 90 days, completing an accredited ultrasound program, and keeping BCLS current. Per diem shifts include days and nights.

Qualifications

• RDMS/ARDMS certification or S (ARRT) within 90 days of hire and maintain.
• Graduate from accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire.
• Previous experience is preferred.
• Current BCLS certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
• Proficient computer skills.

• Position patients and equipment to obtain optimal recordings.
• Process and transmit ultrasound images to PACS.

Responsibilities

• Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams, ensuring proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation.
• Positions patient and equipment and produce an appropriate recording.
• The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for processing and transmission of Images to PACS.

• 1. RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire and maintain.
• 2. Graduate an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire.
• 3. Previous experience preferred.
• 4. Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current.
• 5. Proficient computer skills
