To provide imaging procedures and information using independent operation of ultrasound equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes, as well as to communicate findings to the ordering provider or radiologist.
Special supervision from assigned supervisor.
Direct supervision of assigned staff.
Graduate from an accredited ultrasound program technology or radiologic technology.
Associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and ARDMS registered or registry eligible.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation ( CPR / BLS ) current Certified in the following: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer ( RDMS ) through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography ( ARDMS ) or successful completion of registry within 6 months of employment; or Sonography (S) or Vascular Sonography (VS) through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ( AART ) registered.
One (1) year of experience as an ultrasound technologist.

Use of standard office and ultrasound equipment.
Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. May exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Usual office or clinical ambulatory patient care facility conditions, stationary or mobile. Some evening and /or weekend work may be required. Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
The ability to speak Spanish is desirable. Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal. Tact, diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality of medical information required in all matters. Possible exposure to combustible materials. Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
