Job summary

North Alabama OBGYN Associates, in partnership with Together Women’s Health, has an immediate full-time opening for an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer. The role focuses on OB/GYN imaging, obtaining high-quality diagnostic images, and supporting physicians and patients in women's health care.

You will welcome patients, verify orders, document findings, and help improve radiology processes while maintaining a safe, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified ultrasound program.
• ARDMS certification in good standing.
• Extensive OB/GYN imaging experience.
• Strong communication with patients and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Greets all patients courteously and ensures that their needs are met.
• Reviews patient identification and verifies physician order.
• Gains patient cooperation by explaining imaging procedures and answering questions.
• Reviews images, notes observations, and communicates data to physician.
• Maximizes production and quality of ultrasounds by following standards.
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
• Documents patient ultrasound services by charting.
• Participates in radiology process-improvement activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

OBGYN Associates, a practice partner of Together Women’s Health (TWH) has an immediate opportunity for a Full-timeUltrasound Technologist/Sonographerto join our team!

UP TO $5,000 SIGN BONUS

This is an excellent opportunity for a sonographer with a strong background in OB/GYN imaging who enjoys working closely with physicians and patients in a dedicated women’s health setting. We are looking for an experienced professional who is confident performing OB/GYN studies, recognizing and documenting findings, and obtaining high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.

Responsibilities

How you’ll make an impact:

Greets all patients courteously and ensures that their needs are met

Reviews patient identification and verifies physician order

Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of imaging procedures, explaining equipment, and answering questions

Reviews images, makes initial observations, documents exceptions from established protocols and communicates data to physician

Maximizes production and quality of ultrasounds by following established standards and procedures

Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures

Documents patient ultrasound services by completing patient record charting

Participates in process improvement activities within radiology practice including but not limited to quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified ultrasound program
• ARDMS certified and in good standing
• Extensive experience in OB/GYN
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with patients in a professional and caring manner
