Job summary

Oxford Clinic for Women, a practice partner of Together Women’s Health, has an immediate opportunity for a PRN Ultrasound Technologist (OB/GYN) to join our team.

The Ultrasound Technician will acquire OB/GYN images, maintain quality, and support patient care. ARDMS certified with experience in OB/GYN is required, along with a certified ultrasound program graduate; compensation is $42-$48 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified ultrasound program.
• ARDMS certification in good standing.
• Extensive OB/GYN imaging experience.
• Excellent communication with patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients courteously and verify physician orders.
• Acquire high-quality OB/GYN ultrasound images for diagnosis.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain cooperation.
• Review images and communicate findings to physician.
• Maintain safety and documentation per standards.
• Support process improvements in radiology workflow.

Overview

Oxford Clinic for Women, a practice partner of Together Women’s Health (TWH) has an immediate opportunity for a PRN Ultrasound Technoligst (OB/GYN)to join our team!

$42-$48/hour based on experience

The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for acquiring ultrasound images that are used in medical diagnoses. The technician performs sonography in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Our technicians maintain and demonstrate an understanding of the team approach to patient care and documentation.

Responsibilities

How you’ll make an impact:

• Greets all patients courteously and ensures that their needs are met
• Reviews patient identification and verifies physician order
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of imaging procedures, explaining equipment, and answering questions
• Reviews images, makes initial observations, documents exceptions from established protocols and communicates data to physician
• Maximizes production and quality of ultrasounds by following established standards and procedures
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures
• Documents patient ultrasound services by completing patient record charting
• Participates in process improvement activities within radiology practice including but not limited to quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Talents you’ll bring to TWH:

• Graduate of a certified ultrasound program
• ARDMS certified and in good standing
• Extensive experience in OB/GYN
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with patients in a professional and caring manner
