Job summary

Duly Health and Care seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform imaging procedures under supervision, ensuring high-quality patient care. You will follow radiology protocols, corroborate clinical histories, and prepare patients for screening or diagnostic exams in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

The role requires ARRT Mammography certification, Illinois licensure, CPR, and excellent communication and teamwork. Competitive benefits and sign-on are offered.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with advanced Mammography certification.
  • Illinois State Licensure (IEMA) required; CPR certification.
  • Some Mammography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammography procedures in a technically proficient manner.
  • Follow department protocols and radiologist directions.
  • Corroborate patient clinical history and document findings.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and minimize anxiety.
  • Operate breast imaging equipment and position patients properly.

Together, we create an environment where you can grow, contribute, and help improve the experience and outcomes for every patient we serve.Under the supervision of the Manager and Breast Radiologist, a successful applicant will utilize independent judgment and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of breast procedures, anatomy, and physiology. Be responsible for the variety of breast imaging examinations for the purpose of assisting in a patient’s medical diagnosis or screening for cancerPatient Care & ImagingPerform mammography procedures in a technically proficient manner. Follow department protocols and specific radiologist direction.Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedure; assuring information is documented in accordance with the department's standards.Prepare patient for procedures; providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.Select and operate breast imaging equipment and associated devices to achieve desired results.Position patient and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest. Explain the need for breast compression while respecting the patient's ability and comfort.Apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.Experience with stereotactic biopsies and/or willing to be trained to assist with this procedureDepartment SupportParticipates in staff meetings with employee involvementMaintains positive work relationships with co-workers, physicians, and other health care team membersMaintains an orderly and clean work area to promote good safety habits for patients and co-workersMaintains confidentiality with others regarding patient and organizational informationMaintenance of supplies needed to ensure adequate levels within the department.Experience and Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology ProgramRegistered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with advanced certification in Mammography is required.Active ARRT certification status maintained by fulfilling continuing education requirements.Illinois State Licensure (IEMA)CPR CertificationMammography experience preferred but not requiredStereotactic biopsy experience a plusInterpersonal and communication skills and the ability to present required.Knowledge of computer-based applications, email and standard applications such as Microsoft OfficeWorking knowledge and skills of a mammography technologist and can perform the daily tasks and duties of a technologist, including patient care and completion of clinical examsThe compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $35.00 - $52.00with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.Artificial Intelligence DisclosureArtificial Intelligence (AI) tools may be used in some portions of the candidate review process for this position, however, all employment decisions will be made by a person.
