Qualifications

  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • BLS certification and registration with ARDMS or CCI required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diversified clinical patient care and technical duties.
  • Obtain patient information and document data within the EHR.
  • Assist physicians in performing procedures and maintain Per Diem requirements.

We are searching for a talented Ultrasound Technologist

Hours: Per Diem

Shift: Day/Evening shift; Vascular weekend and on call coverage available at Charlton as well. Must commit to a minimum of 16 hours of coverage monthly if available. Can pick up additional hours as well if available

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA; Support vascular Ultrasound coverage for St. Luke's and Charlton Ultrasound departments

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Responsibilities
Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee, perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request. Obtain pertinent information from patient's chart and document all data within the EHR. Educate patient for exam. Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure. Select technical factors/ parameters/sequences to produce quality images. Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality. Aware of the principles of ALARA and MR safety practices. Assist physicians in performing procedures. Maintain the committed Per Diem requirements.
Qualifications
  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Technology and attainment of primary certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, the Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Sonography is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required
  • RVT or RVS required
Pay Range
USD $38.50 - USD $60.00 /Hr.
Rotation Schedule Requirement
