Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts examinations and assist radiologists during invasive procedures. You will make clinical judgments based on information from physicians, records, patient interviews and assessments.

Requirements include ultrasound training with ARDMS registry eligibility, ARDMS certification within 1 year, and BLS. A minimum of 1 year ultrasound experience or internship is expected.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of Ultrasound training program and eligibility for ARDMS registry examination.
  • Within 1 year of hire: ARDMS registry eligibility or certification.
  • Upon hire: BLS certification from American Heart Association.
  • 1 year of experience as an ultrasound technologist or ultrasound intern.

Description

Performs a variety of sonographic examinations dealing with OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts. Expectations also include assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures. Makes a clinical judgment of the patient's condition, based on information obtained from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview and personal assessments.

Required Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Successful completion of Ultrasound training program --- Education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasonographers (ARDMS) registry examination
  • Within 1 year of hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 1 year of experience as an ultrasound technologist or ultrasound intern
