The candidate must have travel ultrasound experience, ARDMS certification in ABD or GYN, RVT for vascular need, and BLS. RDCS/RCS preferred, with strong patient interaction skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years of travel ultrasound experience.
• 1-2 years ultrasound training from an accredited program.
• ARDMS certification in ABD or GYN.
• RVT certification required for vascular studies.
• RDCS or RCS certification preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• Strong client experience is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform requested ultrasound examinations and assess for pathology based on symptoms/history.
• Review ultrasound findings with the radiologist and contribute to a diagnosis.
• Document results and coordinate with radiology team.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for patient records and reporting.
• Support vascular, abdominal, and other indicated studies as assigned.

Job Description:

• Position: Ultrasonographer/Vascular Sonographer
• Schedule: 2 week rotating schedule
• Week 1: Wed/Thu/Fri 4p - 12:30a, Sat, Sun 10a - 10:30p
• Week 2: Sun 10a - 10:30p, Wed/Thurs 4p - 12:30a
• Call: rotates with the other sonographer, EOW Fri 12a-10a, Sat 10:30p - 10a, Sun 10:30p - 7a

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (4026):

• 2 years of experience with travel
• 1-2 yrs ultrasound training from an accredited training program

SUMMARY and PURPOSE OF POSITION:

• This position independently performs requested ultrasound examinations, searching for any possible pathology as indicated by the patient's symptoms/medical history and/or results from previous testing. He/She reviews and discusses the ultrasound findings with the radiologist and a diagnosis is made.
