An established industry player is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join their team. Under general supervision, the Ultrasound Technologist will perform routine diagnostic breast ultrasound imaging. Assists with interventional breast procedures at the direction of the interpreting Radiologist. Participates in training and direction of other employees/students with knowledge of departmental protocols and responsibilities. Identifies and addresses individual patient requirements relative to their emotional, physical or age-related needs pertaining to their imaging. Willing to perform other necessary duties as requested.
Position duties and expectations:
Graduate of an approved US department of Education Ultrasound/Imaging program, or equivalent on the job training. RDMS certified in Abdomen and OB/GYN and 1 year experience required. Current CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment. Breast (BR) certification preferred; if not BR certified, will be required to become certified within 1 year of appointment.
B.S degree and experience in breast ultrasound and breast ultrasound biopsy procedures preferred.
Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30. Start time can change an hour earlier or later depending on departmental needs.
