Job summary

Bridgton Hospital, part of Central Maine Healthcare under Prime Healthcare Foundation, seeks an Ultrasound Technologist. The role performs ultrasound exams, positions patient and equipment, and ensures images are ready for PACS.

This per diem position requires RDMS or ARRT certification within 90 days, graduation from an accredited ultrasound program, and current BCLS. Proficient computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region within 90 days of hire and maintain.
• Graduate an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire.
• Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current.
• Proficient computer skills.

• Demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams and produces technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation.
• Positions patient and equipment and produces an appropriate recording for PACS.
• Processes and transmits images to PACS.

Responsibilities

Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams, ensuring proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation. Positions patient and equipment and produce an appropriate recording. The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for processing and transmission of Images to PACS.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire and maintain.
2. Graduate an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire.
3. Previous experience preferred.
4. Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current.

Pay Transparency

Bridgton Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $38.00 to $47.51 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
