DESCRIPTION

Decypher is seeking Ultrasound Technologists to support JBSA - Randolph, in San Antonio, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive patients and provide appropriate care. This may include scheduling, reception of the patient and accomplishing procedural instructions. Perform routine diagnostic ultrasound procedures/services including, but not limited to abdomen, small parts, obstetrics, gynecology, carotid, upper and lower extremity venous ultrasound services as appropriate to the TO
  • Assist radiologist and/or other physicians in performing invasive diagnostic techniques such as biopsies, aspirations, injections, or other similar procedures. Must be able to set up sterile trays and supplies required for procedures as well as maintain a sterile field
  • Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment on a regular basis in accordance with Radiology Department standards. Process digital images, prepare tech worksheets with technical impression and submit for interpretation by radiologists
  • Provide training to staff and the phase II students in the performance of ultrasound examinations and procedures as required
  • On-call staff shall respond in accordance with department policy. On-call personnel respond by phone within 15 minutes of being called and report to the duty section within 60 minutes of initial contact

QUALIFICATIONS

  • ARDMS or ARRT Certification
  • Graduate from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • 3 years of Sonographer experience within the last four years
