Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC, a Duke LifePoint Hospital, is seeking an Ultrasound Tech. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort, while maintaining equipment and records. ARDMS registration or eligibility is required, with BLS within 30 days and ARDMS within 1 year.

• Graduate of a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Radiology.
• ARDMS registration or eligibility is required.

Our goal is to provide convenient care when you need it most. We're available to provide efficient, quality medical care for urgent medical needs that do not require emergency care. We offer general/urgent care, x-ray, laboratory services, urine drug screenings and occupational health.

How You'll Contribute

An Ultrasound Tech who excels in this role:

• Receives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patient is comfortable.
• Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.
• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area.
• Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should be a graduate of a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or School of Radiology. Must be ARDMS registered, or ARDMS eligible. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ARDMS is required within 1 year of hire.
